The LAN tester checks cables, wallplates and patch panels for connectivity, pin assignment, shielding, shorts and pairs as per EIA/TIA 356A, 568A, 568B and Token Ring specifications, and displays the results on a range of LEDs. The main unit has two RJ45 sockets to test patch leads and drop leads, and the remote unit (supplied) permits previously laid cable to be tested. RJ45 to BNC adapters are also included.
