This adapter is used to connect the mini display port - found on the MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro notebooks, iMac, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro desktops and also the 24-inch Apple Cinema Display - to an HDMI display.

The adapter requires an additional HDMI cable to run from the adapter to the display.
